Advisor

My name is W. Todd Harder; the W is for William though I go by “Todd.” I have been in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, courtesy of the US Navy, for over 30 years and Poulsbo since 2004. After retiring from the Navy, I became an investment advisor professional helping clients plan, save, and invest for over 15 years including as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 2011. Being a CFP reinforces my commitment to my clients – I always act in their best interest. While in the Navy, one of my most memorable tours of duty was supporting the Army in Iraq countering improvised-explosives devices, earning a Bronze Star. Additionally, I was awarded an Air Medal flying the EA-6B Prowler over Iraq.

Having coached high school football for 15 years, I believe there are many lessons and benefits that extend beyond the playing fields for all those involved. While I’ve hung up my coaching hat, I am keeping my whistle active and am currently in my second year of officiating. Though I still like to consider myself an athlete, you’re now more likely to find me at the end of a dog’s leash than training for a marathon. My wife, also a Navy retiree, and I are long-time Kitsap Audubon members and wildlife/animal rescuers adopting and fostering eleven dogs.
